Ulcinj PDF Print E-mail

The city of Ulcinj is located at the very south of Montenegro, or of its coast. The old city, surronded by walls and towers, makes a unique mixture of Orient and West. Numerous coves and hidden bays, once pirats shelters, are attractive touristic oases today. A particular charm to the Ulcinj riviera gives Velika Plaza (Big Beach), 13 kilometrs long, which is also the longest sand beach in Europian Mediterranean. Taking into consideration its size and attraction, the beach is utilized only partially, by the construction of few hotels, camps and restaurants. As such, it is ideal for long walks or riding along the sea. The Bojana river separates Montenegro and Albania and it is 20 km far from Ulcinj. At its mouth to the Adriatic Sea it made the Ada Bojana island, a paradise island for naturists. It is a unique oasis for hte real followers of nudism, with one of the largest nudist settlements. A special .charm is given by numerous olive groves, abundant at the Budva riviera, particularly Valdanos which is at the same time also one of the most beautiful beaches, with belonging contents (hotel, restaurant...). There are also Stari Ulcinj (Old Ulcinj), Maslina Cove and numerous other beaches and coves which make a contribution to the marvellous attraction of the Ulcinj riviera and its role in the total appreciation of the Monte Negro coast.
